SBIR/STTR Initiatives

SEII is an independent and nonprofit that performs applied contract research, development, testing and evaluation for government and industry clients. We develop solutions to tackle your contract project and make connections to enable designated funding opportunities for Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. We encourage domestic small businesses to engage in Federal Research/Research and Development (R/R&D) funding to further technology commercialization.

 

SEII provides the following services to help structure your business, reduce liabilities, and facilitate compliance:

Defense Innovation

  • Cybersecurity: Countering Chinese and Russian (foreign) theft of Intellectual Property (IP)

    • Re-aligning securities to protect IP and U.S. innovation from foreign investment from China to United States, the monetary capital of which enhances China’s accessibility to U.S. ingenuity

    • Aligning with Pentagon’s initiatives as to the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC): Resourcing experts for direct hire with Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Preparing for internal review and audit from DoD, Better protecting networks and controlled unclassified information (CUI) against cyberattacks and theft (7 or 15 requirements from Pentagon/DoD currently issued)

  • Hypersonics

    • Strategic long range missile and weapons capabilities (e.g. SCIFiRE air-launch hypersonic cruise missile technology)

    • $15B for hypersonic weapons and related technologies (over 10 years)

  • Satellite Tech

    • Precision navigation, Intelligence data, Servicing, and Preventing Cyber Attacks

    • Supporting next-gen surveillance tech

  • Supercomputers

    • Building infrastructure with improved cybersecurity

  • Microelectronics

    • Developing devices for communications and systems control, 5G support to drive innovation in competitive international markets

  • Amphibious Warship

    • Technology to hone in on work in Indo-Pacific seas around China, targeting survivability

  • Training Initiatives: Simulation and Virtual Reality

    • Army budget for FY2021 at $178B; Personnel support and future war readiness will focus on modernization and high-tech training/fighting

    • Marine Corp Utility Task Vehicles: developing ultra light tactical vehicles, vertical take-off and air support, unmanned aerial systems (UAS) to support troops and utilize for reconnaissance missions; 2030 strategy to utilize in amphibious operations

  • Advanced Material/Energy

    • New/Alternative energy and materials that enable more efficient/advanced vehicle/device operation/function

    • Providing greater power and fuel efficiency and aircraft to lift heavier payloads

  • Arctic Warfare

    • Gearing up to support Air Force, Coast Guard, Army, Marines, Navy; Supporting SpaceForce and Arctic Strategy; As well, Special Operations Forces including Army Green Berets, Navy SEALs, Marine Raiders, Special Tactics airmen and other elements will be seeking technology to lead in the Great Power Competition with Russia, China, and other foreign powers.

    • Arctic operations range from climate change opening new sea lanes to fossil-fuel resources and grand strategy.
